Farsley AFC boss Neil Parsley has hit out at the Evo Stik League over being given a long distance away match at Kendal Town on a Tuesday night in October.
The Evo Stik Division One North fixtures were released today and Farsley face the two hour trip to Kendal on October 22nd.
However, as Parsley points out, Farsley will play local neighbours Wakefield FC at Throstle Nest at the end of September and the Farsley chief said: “I think the Kendal game is a strange fixture to send us up there on a Tuesday night.
“We then have Wakefield at home on a Saturday.
“I think the league can be a bit cleverer when they are producing fixtures.
“I think it is a lack of respect on players.
“I don’t mind long journeys, but why does it have to be midweek?
“The lads have to get it off work.
“It is stupid and ridiculous.”
Farsley will play Clitheroe on the opening day on August 17th.
He wants to try Scarborough to Eastwood on a Tuesday Night..!!
