Reserve team boss Sean Margison has been promoted to the head coach position at NCEL Premier Division new boys Athersley Recreation.
Margison replaces former Pontefract Collieries boss Simon Houghton who was appointed as Shaw Lane Aquaforce’s new manager last week.
Margison was a player for Recreation for over fifteen years before moving into coaching.
He will work under the Athersley management, Peter Goodlad and Jason Dodsworth.
Goodlad said: “This is a great appointment and is pleased that Sean is ready to make the step up and again shows that the club's in-house recruitment policy works.”
