Ossett Town boss Craig Elliott turns to NCEL for new signings

Ossett Town manager Craig Elliott has turned to the Northern Counties East League for four of his new signings.
Richard Patterson and Andrew Fox have joined from Staveley Miners Welfare where they played a role in the club’s run to the FA Vase semi-final in 2012.
Will McGhie (Worksop Parramore) and Scott McGrory, who has played for Staveley and Leeds Carnegie are the other two.
Elliott’s knowledge of NCEL football is excellent. He was Glasshoughton Welfare for two seasons, but he can be seen at many NCEL games scouting when Ossett are not playing.
He already signed highly-rated full-back Steve Jeff from Tadcaster Albion.
Also joining Ossett is defender Nick Wood who was with Evo Stik outfit Mickleover Sports last season having previously been with Tranmere Rovers and Mansfield Town.
Former Farsley midfielder Chris Walton was announced as a new signing two weeks ago.
The signings take his squad for the Evo Stik Division One North season up to 12 as Jimmy Eyles, Matt Convey, Luke Richardson, Ryan Qualter and Danny Patterson have agreed to stay.
On the departure front, only Shane Kelsey’s exit has been confirmed, but centre-back Wes Milnes is also set to leave Ingfield this summer.
