Highly rated Graham Nicholas is the new head coach of NCEL Premier Division side Garforth Town.
Nicholas, who boasts an impressive CV, is a fresh face at Wheatley Park and has been given the task of stemming the decline that triggered the club’s relegation from the Evo Stik Division One North.
Club chairman Brian Close said: “Graham is a highly regarded coach and has experience of coaching in America and with the Barnsley academy.
“He was looking to break into the semi-professional game and we’re looking forward to working with him.
“It is a big year for the club and we’re hopeful that Graham can stabilise us in the NCE Premier.
“We’re also hoping to see supporters back at the club this season, getting behind the new head coach.”
Nicholas, who briefly coached at NCEL rivals Athersley Recreation, now has to focus on ensuring that he has a team ready for the club’s first pre-season friendly at Carlisle United on 16th July.
