In the earlier game, a patched-up Ossett Town comfortably beat tournament hosts Nostell Miners Welfare.
Ossett, playing their second game in two days, were even forced to play goalkeeper Tom Taylor for the last 15 minutes.
But, despite having a weakened side, Craig Elliott’s men were relatively untroubled by Nostell. Will McGhie put Ossett ahead in the first half before defender Patrece Liburd doubled the lead just after the break.
A superb goal from Danny Critchlow pulled a goal back for Nostell, but Ossett remained in control and Ben Nije ensured the win late-on.
