The Northern Premier League Division One leagues could be switched to East and West next season, it was revealed at the League’s AGM in Blackpool today.
The issue has been at the forefront of debate ever since newly-promoted Scarborough Athletic were placed in the South Division by the FA last month.
League chairman Mark Harris, speaking at the AGM, said clubs would be consulted and that the East/West structure could be in place for next season.
East and West Divisions have been a popular choice for a number of club chairmen ever since the two league First Division was brought in for the 2006-07 campaign.
Harris also confirmed that the league are on the hunt for a new title sponsor.
