The door is still at Farsley AFC for last season’s top scorer Adam Priestley, who is been chased Conference clubs, according to Neil Parsley.
Former Garforth Town striker Priestley has trained with Farsley this week, but his future at Throstle Nest is uncertain.
Priestley jets off this weekend to spend a week training with the Gibraltar National Team due to his Gilbraltar birth certificate.
No decision on his club for next season will be made until after he returns, but Parsley admits he would like to keep the forward, who won the management's player of the year award in May, at Farsley.
He said: “There has been interest from Conference sides, Halifax have shown interest and so have Hyde, but time will tell on whether they consider that Adam will strengthen their sides.
“If he does leave then he goes with our blessing, if he doesn’t then we will have to re-evaluate the situation and sit down with Adam and see if we can strike a deal.
“If somebody scores 27 goals then people are going to be interested, that’s the nature of the beast.
“Fair play to Adam, he scored 27 goals in a side that finished mid-table and didn’t pull up any trees.
“If we start the league season on August 17th without Adam then I wish him all the best because he’s worked hard and listened to what myself, Sim and Jacko have asked him to do for us and we’ll have helped him on his way to moving onto bigger and better things.”
